GoGo Cars

Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and GoGo Cars.

Effective January 1, 2026 · Last updated August 11, 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and Gogo Enterprises, which operates the GoGo Cars self-drive car rental service. By creating an account or booking a vehicle you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms work alongside the rental agreement you sign when you collect a vehicle. Where the two conflict, the signed rental agreement governs that specific booking. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can rent

To rent a vehicle from us you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • hold a valid Indian driving licence that covers the class of vehicle you are booking, and that has been held for at least one month;
  • complete identity verification (KYC) in the app before your first booking;
  • be the person who actually drives the vehicle, unless you have registered an additional driver with us in advance.

We may refuse or cancel a booking if verification fails, if the licence appears invalid or expired, or if we reasonably believe the vehicle is at risk.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything done through it. Give us accurate information and keep it current — an out-of-date phone number means you will miss trip and payment notifications. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.

One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

4. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed only once we have accepted it and received the required payment. The fare shown at checkout includes the rental charge and applicable taxes, and separately itemises any doorstep delivery charge and any security deposit.

  • Advance payment. We may require part or all of the fare up front to confirm a booking.
  • Security deposit. A refundable deposit may be required. The amount depends on the vehicle and the booking, and is shown in the fare breakdown before you confirm. It is refunded after the vehicle is returned and inspected, less any deductions under clause 9.
  • Doorstep delivery. Charged per kilometre from the branch, shown before you confirm.
  • Late return. If you return the vehicle after the booking ends, you are charged for each hour you are late at that vehicle's standard hourly rate. The trip cannot be closed and the vehicle cannot be released until the late charge is paid.
  • Fuel. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had at pickup. If the level is lower, we charge you the cost of the fuel needed to bring it back up.

Payments are processed by CCAvenue. We do not store your card details.

5. Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel a confirmed booking, the advance amount you paid is refunded on this scale:

You cancelRefund of the advance paid
24 hours or more before the booking startsFull refund
Between 12 and 24 hours before the booking starts50% refund
Less than 12 hours before the booking startsNo refund

Refunds are returned to the payment method you originally used, through CCAvenue. Allow 5–7 days for the amount to reach your account, depending on your bank.

If we cancel a confirmed booking for a reason that is not your fault — for example the vehicle becomes unavailable — you get a full refund of everything you paid for that booking, or a replacement vehicle where we can offer one.

6. Using the vehicle

While the vehicle is in your care you must:

  • hold a valid licence and carry it, along with the vehicle documents, at all times;
  • obey all traffic laws and drive safely and responsibly;
  • keep the vehicle locked and secure when unattended;
  • report any accident, breakdown, theft, or damage to us immediately, and to the police where the law requires it;
  • complete the pickup and return photo inspection in the app honestly — these photographs are what we use to settle damage disputes.

We do not restrict where in India you drive. There is no state boundary or distance limit on your trip. You remain responsible for any interstate permit, toll, or entry tax that applies on your route, and for returning the vehicle to the agreed location on time.

7. What you must not do

You must not:

  • drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs driving;
  • let anyone who is not a registered driver on the booking drive the vehicle;
  • use the vehicle for commercial passenger transport, ride-hailing, courier work, or driving instruction;
  • use the vehicle for racing, rallying, off-roading, or towing;
  • carry more passengers or more load than the vehicle is rated for;
  • carry illegal or hazardous goods;
  • smoke in the vehicle, or transport pets other than as we have agreed in writing;
  • take the vehicle outside India;
  • modify, repair, or tamper with the vehicle, its odometer, or any fitted tracking device;
  • sub-let, pledge, or sell the vehicle.

Breaking any of these voids the insurance cover on the vehicle and makes you personally liable for the full cost of any loss or damage, plus recovery costs.

8. Returning the vehicle

Return the vehicle to the agreed location at the agreed time, in the condition you received it apart from normal wear, and complete the return inspection in the app. If you need more time, request an extension in the app before the booking ends — extensions depend on availability.

If a vehicle is not returned and you do not respond to us, we may treat it as unlawfully retained, recover it at your cost, and report it to the police.

9. Damage, fines, and insurance

Our vehicles carry insurance as required by the Motor Vehicles Act. Insurance does not cover everything, so you remain responsible for a share of the cost of any damage caused while the vehicle is in your care. How much you pay depends on the damage protection level you chose when you booked:

Protection chosen at bookingWhat you pay towards damage
NoneThe full assessed cost, subject to a minimum of ₹5,000 for any damage
Basic (₹177)70% of the assessed cost
Plus (₹277)40% of the assessed cost
Premium (₹477)20% of the assessed cost

The assessed cost is based on the pickup and return inspection photographs and the repair estimate. Note that with no protection selected, the minimum charge for any damage is ₹5,000 even if the repair costs less. Damage protection does not apply where the loss arises from prohibited use under clause 7 — in those cases you are liable for the full amount.

You are responsible for:

  • damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear, assessed against the pickup and return inspection photographs;
  • traffic fines, tolls, and penalties incurred while the vehicle was in your care, whenever they reach us;
  • loss of keys or documents, and the cost of replacing them;
  • excessive cleaning where the vehicle is returned in an unreasonable state;
  • recovery and towing costs where these arise from how you used the vehicle.

We may deduct these from your security deposit and invoice you for anything above it. We will tell you what we are charging and why, with the supporting photographs.

10. Wallet and referrals

GoGo Wallet credit and referral rewards are promotional. They can be used against future bookings but have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and are forfeited if your account is closed or deleted. We may withdraw credit obtained through fraud, self-referral, or abuse of the referral programme, and may suspend accounts involved.

11. Our liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — for example missed flights, lost business, or missed appointments — arising from a breakdown, a delay, or a vehicle being unavailable.

Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability for any booking is capped at the total amount you paid for that booking. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if you give false verification documents, if payments are outstanding, if a vehicle is damaged through prohibited use, or if we reasonably believe your use of the service is fraudulent or unsafe. You can close your account at any time — see Delete your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana.
